The local fire districts found themselves overwhelmed quickly after a fire broke out in Cowichee. It went from 50 acres, to 10000 acres. Yakima Washington - Boise Cascade MILL Fire - 9/26/09 This fire was HUGE! Caught 4-5 small whirlwinds in the fire. Knocked out the power for most of the day and into the night throughout the city. You could feel the heat while passing by on the highway. It was a spectacular sight!... Read More »
