Resolved Question: Grandpa died in 2006 and it hasn't sunk in yet,?

My grandpa lived in Yakima Washington, and died september 2006. We visited in 2007 and he wasn't there, obviously. It did not sink in then, now it is 2008 and I still has not came to the subconscious realization that he has died.
